Annette Bowman Hendrix Obituary

Annette Bowman Hendrix , 81 , of Pell City, Alabama, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family on January 30, 2026. She was born March 15, 1944, in Pell City, Alabama, the daughter of Emris A. Bowman and Willie Brown Bowman.


Annette was a devoted wife, loving mother and a faithful believer in the Lord Jesus Christ. Throughout her life she was active in several churches where she led Good News Clubs , taught children's Bible classes and faithfully supported outreach ministries. Her love for the Lord and her service to others touched many lives. She was a member of Mineral Springs Baptist Church.


Annette graduated from Pell City High School and attended Williams Rufus King State Trade School in Selma, Alabama, where she earned her LPN. She attended UAB, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education.


Annette devoted more than 30 years of her life to serving others as a Licensed Practical Nurse at several institutions. She was known and loved by her patients and coworkers for her compassionate spirit, gentle touch, and considerate care. Her dedication to nursing was an extension of her faith and kindness, bringing comfort and healing to countless people over the years.


Annette loved serving her Lord supremely, and people in general and always sought to brighten their lives. She also loved gardening and was a Master Gardener.


Annette is survived by her loving husband, Charles Hendrix; her daughters, Charlotte Trejo and Sharon Cobb; her grandchildren, Charles Davis, Kim Gaither, Johnathan Davis, Danielle Fox, Edward Fox, and Melissa Valladares; nine great-grandchildren ; sisters, Laura Bowman and Paulette Blomeley; and her brother, Harold Bowman.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Emris A. Bowman and Willie Brown Bowman; her sisters, Mittie Williams, Bernice Realmuto, Helen Wright, Patty Ryder, and Christine Bradshaw; and her brothers, Loyd Bowman, Raymond Bowman, Aaron Bowman, Paul Bowman, and Robert Bowman .


A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday , February 6, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at Usrey Funeral Home in Pell City, Alabama followed by burial at the Bowman Family Cemetery, The family will receive friends from 1p.m. until service time.
