Jackie Anne Harmon Payne, 74, of Talladega, AL passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2026. Her family will announce a celebration of life ceremony for her on a later date.

Mrs. Payne was a native and lifelong resident of Talladega. She was a very active member of Trinity United Methodist Church where she did a lot of the beautiful stained-glass work that can been seen throughout the church. Jackie was a very artistic woman who enjoyed many arts and crafts including painting, drawing, calligraphy, and crocheting. She also loved to bowl and play bridge, and she was an avid animal lover especially when it came to her dog, Sooty, and her cat, Velcro. Her tenacious spirit will be missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenny Payne, and parents, Wilmer and Marrion Harmon.

Mrs. Payne is survived by her son, Kyle Payne (Kellie); daughter, JoAnna Lochamy; grandchildren, Ethan Payne, Maya Lochamy, and Jacob Payne; sister, Debbie Quester; lifelong friends, Betty and Jim Spratlin, Cheryl and Snook Cooper, and Chuck and Leigh Anne Keith, and several nieces and nephews.
