Betty Louise Hodge, 97, daughter of Canty Labon Hodge and Bessie Bartlett Hodge, was born on April 25, 1928 in Clarendon County, SC. She departed this life on Wednesday, January 14, 2026.

She is survived by daughters, Patricia Hodge of Lincoln, AL, Carol H. Marsh (Gib) of High Point, NC, and Marcia H. Schulman of Lincoln, AL; sister, Jean Perry of Sanford, NC; and a number of special grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son, Richard D. Hodge, and a daughter, Janice H. Cherrington.

During her life she enjoyed gardening, her artistic hobbies and loved cooking fried chicken and biscuits for her family and friends.

The family would like to express a special thanks and appreciation for the excellent care given by the hospice, in-home providers, Leigh, Dana, Sharon, and Danielle.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Providence Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 2445 Old Manning Road, Sumter, SC 29150.
