Mary H. Fordham, 83, passed away on December 26, 2025, in Chapman Healthcare Center in Alex City, Alabama.

Mary was born in Clay County, Alabama on August 23, 1942. She taught 4th grade in Talladega, AL and received many awards during her 30-year career as a much-loved elementary teacher. She also traveled to four countries on mission trips. She was very vocal about her faith in God. Mary’s favorite scripture was Proverbs 3:5. In her spare time, Mary loved to write, and her favorite topic was anything pertaining to her faith. She enjoyed old hymns and would often sing around the house. She was very active in church and loved to attend with her husband, Robert Fordham.

Mary is survived by her sister, Martha Pugh; four children, Lisa Moreland, Lori Fulbright, Joy Moreland, and Jamey Moreland; 10 grandchildren, Ashley Chamblee, Zachary Vaughn, Jon Ledbetter, Shawn Ledbetter, Morgan Davis, Bradley Moreland, Katelynn Griffith, Brooklyn Moreland, Erynn Moreland, and Enoch Moreland, and numerous great-grandchildren.

Mary is predeceased by her husband, Robert Fordham; sister, Ruth Ingram; brother, Bill Hutton, and granddaughter, Whitney Davis.

Graveside services will be held at Midway Memory Gardens on Tuesday, January 06, 2026, at 2:00 P.M. with Bill Pruitt officiating. Friends and family are invited to attend.
