Joyce Smith Owens, 84, of Pell City, AL passed away at her home on Thursday, December 04, 2025. A funeral ceremony will be held in her honor at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, December 07, 2025, at Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega with Rick Collins officiating. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow directly after the ceremony at Pine Hill Memorial Park.

Mrs. Owens was a native of Georgia but spent most of her life in Talladega County, Alabama. She was a member of Cropwell Baptist Church. Joyce loved her flower garden, but she especially loved her children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy C. Owens; son, Phillip Curtis Owens; parents, Jeff R. and Era T. Smith; brothers, J.C. Smith and Ralph Smith, and sisters, Evelyn Johnson and Nell Baumet.

Mrs. Owens is survived by her daughters, Kim O. Ledbetter (Rusty) and Jill McMichen; sisters, Carolyn Sanders and Eleanor Stokes; grandchildren, Jarred Crump (Tonya), Kendra Stallings (Kyle), Kayla Lauderdale (Josh), Logan McMichen (Sydney), and Kylie McMichen, and great-grandchildren, Mady, Kinley, Blakely, and Colson.

Kendra Stallings, Kyle Stallings, Kayla Lauderdale, Josh Lauderdale, Kylie McMichen, and Logan McMichen will serve as pallbearers.
