Kenneth Lum Owens, 77, of Eastaboga, AL passed away on Tuesday, November 18, 2025. A funeral ceremony will be held in his honor at noon on Friday, November 21, 2025, at Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega with Scotty Gurley officiating. His family will receive friends at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow directly after the ceremony at Midway Memory Gardens.

Mr. Owens was a native of Talladega where he spent most of his life. Kenneth proudly served in the Army National Guard for five years. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church where he served as an Elder and oversaw the grounds and maintenance. A mechanic by trade, he retired from Sunny King Toyota after over 40 years of service. True to his profession, Kenneth enjoyed remodeling old cars and had a deep love for his truck. His other hobbies included hunting, fishing, being outdoors, singing, and doing karaoke. He was an avid University of Alabama football fan, and he loved his pets, Harley, Lucy, and Haley. Mr. Owens would do anything for anyone and could always be counted on to do things the right way. He was a family man who loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He made sure that they each felt special, especially on their birthdays which he never forgot. Kenneth was a devoted husband, father, and “Paw-Paw” who will be missed deeply.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Edith Owens; brothers, Alvin Owens, Lawrence Owens, Jimmy Owens, and Bobby Owens; sisters, Vera Milstead, Nola Wyatt, and Brenda Ford, and brother-in-law, Travis Colquitt.

Mr. Owens is survived by his wife of 25 years, Sue Owens; daughters, Stephanie Bussie (Brent), Gina Owens (Bill), Maranda Heath (Steven), Joni Dulaney (Kevin), and Chasity Gurley; sons, Scotty Gurley (Nicole) and Jeremiah Gurley; sisters, Patsy Colquitt and Alma Jean Rearden; grandchildren, Bryer Bussie, Brody Bussie (Anna), Braxton Bussie, Carlie Crowe (Joseph), Abbie Heath, Ashton Heath, Jaci Whitten, Kenzleigh Burke, Bella Burke, Kenneth Goins (Shelly), Jayce Moye (Austin), Houston Harrison, Jeremiah Dulaney, Hunter Goins (Taylor), Kaylene Gurley, Carter Gurley, Brayden Gurley, Holden Gurley, Cooper Gurley, Greyson Gurley, and Krislynn Gurley; 16 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Josh Wills, James Gurley, Ashton Heath, Barry Owens, Braxton Bussie, and Carter Gurley will serve as pallbearers.
