Guy Smith Jr., of Alpine, AL passed away at his home on Tuesday, November 11, 2025. His family will receive friends at Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega on Thursday, November 13, 2025, from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. A graveside ceremony will be held in honor at 12:30 P.M. following the visitation at Hepzibah Baptist Cemetery with Beaver Tinsley officiating.

Mr. Smith was a native and lifelong resident of Alpine and was a member of Shiloh Methodist Church. He owned and operated Smith Well Drilling for 48 years.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Parks Smith; father, Guy Smith Sr.; mother, Jessie Mae Smith; sister, Inez Miller; brothers, O’Neal Smith and Thurman Smith, and nephew, Bubba Smith.

Mr. Smith is survived by his daughter, Noval Hudspeth; son, Roy Shaw; brothers, Walter Smith, Robert Smith, and Jabo Smith (Ellen); sisters, Diane Allen and Fay Delease; grandchildren, Josh Hudspeth, Bo Smith, Christie Studdard, Jessica Bivens, and Novel Homes, and a host of special nieces and nephews.

Bo smith, Josh Hudspeth, Tyler Hanners, Ben Hanners, Hunter Presley, and Lake Presley will serve as pallbearers.
