Ruby Joyce Yates Jacobs, 90, of Carrollton, GA, passed away at her home on Tuesday, October 14, 2025. A graveside ceremony will be held at 11:00 A.M on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at Pine Hill Memorial Park with Gerald Taylor officiating.

Mrs. Jacobs was raised in Clay County, Alabama but was a longtime resident of Talladega before moving to Carrollton, Georgia. She graduated from Clay County High School and was employed at Talladega Machine and Supply for over 40 years. Joyce attended and served in the choir, Sunday school, and various other activities at both Northside Baptist Church and Southside Baptist Church. She was a very devoted family woman who was always involved in everything from family reunions to whatever her grandchildren had going on. Mrs. Jacobs was an extremely loved wife, mother, and “Nan” who will be greatly missed by her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Dale Jacobs, parents, Rufus and Zenobia Yates, and siblings, Wanda Brumbelow and Ruenette Hulsey.

Mrs. Jacobs is survived by her daughter, Renee Weeks (Willie); son, Allen Jacobs; grandchildren, Jessica Weeks (John Tisdale), Leslie Roman (Mike), and Drew Weeks (Ashley); great-grandchildren, Elliott, Miles, and Sydney, and siblings, Bobby Yates (Pat) and Terry Yates (Joyce).
