Mr. Melvin B. Ferguson Jr., 80, of Riverside, Alabama, passed away on September 28, 2025 when he closed his eyes here and opened them in the presence of Jesus.

Mr. Ferguson was retired from Goodgame Company, Inc.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Laquita Ferguson; grandchildren, Candace Colvin, Joseph Melvin McCullough, and Lindzi Jo McCullough; brother, Freddy Ferguson and Gary Ferguson; and parents, Joyce and Melvin B. Ferguson Sr.

He is survived by his children, Rita Colvin (Jeff), Tippy Ferguson (Skeeter), Robyn McCullough (Ronnie), and Lakrecia Ferguson; grandchildren, Zayne Ferguson, Zakry Ferguson (Sarah Grace), Chelsea Smith (Zach), Hailee McGraw (Tanner), and Matthew McCullough; two great-grandchildren on the way; brother, Larry Ferguson (Sandra); sister-in-law, Joyce Ferguson; numerous nieces and nephews; and best friend, Smiley Higginbotham.

The family will receive friends at Usrey Funeral Home - Pell City from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 2, 2025.
