Mrs. Doris M. Baker, 76, of Pell City, AL passed away on Wednesday, August 27, 2025.

Mrs. Baker was the perfect helpmate to her late husband Ronnie in the building of an extraordinary grocery business and a wonderful life. She knew all about hard work and dedication to achieve the wonderful things of life. She truly was loved by everyone she met.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Pearl Morris, brother Charlie Ray Morris, sister Ruby Morris Gunn and her loving husband Ronnie Baker of 52 years.

Doris is survived by her son Richard Baker (Krista), daughter Elicia Matthews (Dave), grandchildren Haley Baker, Emory Matthews, and Dylan Matthews, her sister Dorothy Laube (Ed) and sister-in-law Stella Iliff along with several nieces and Other FAMILY Lori Funderburg (Byron), Susan McCann (Jerry) and Julia Bline (Mike).

The family will receive friends at Usrey Funeral Home-Pell City on Saturday, August 30, 2025 from 9:30-11:30 am.

The funeral service will be held at 11:30 am on Saturday August 30, 2025 at the Chapel of Usrey Funeral Home-Pell City followed by committal at Valley Hill Memorial Gardens. Pastor Jeff Duncan will be officiating the service.

Pallbearers are Dewain Wesson, Larry McCormick, Michael Pardue, Doug Demedicis, Jerry McCann, and Jay Welborn. Honorary pallbearers are Ed Laube, Vincent Pizzatola, Ronnie Nelson, and Ben Schillaci.

A special thanks to the individual caregivers that looked after Mr. Baker and the whole team of Lakeside Hospice.
