Lois Elaine Martin, 80, of Talladega, AL passed away at her home on Monday, August 18, 2025. A funeral ceremony will be held in her honor at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at Hepzibah Baptist Church with Randy Hagan officiating. Her family will receive friends at the church for one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow directly after the ceremony at Hepzibah Baptist Cemetery.

Mrs. Martin was a native and lifelong resident of the Renfroe area and a devoted member of Hepzibah Baptist Church. She was very active in the church where she taught Sunday school and vacation bible school. She also participated in Camp Happy Days at Shocco Springs Baptist Conference Center. Additionally, Elaine was the owner and operator of Martin’s Grocery.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Lois Hodge.

Mrs. Martin is survived by her husband of 65 years, Terry Martin; sons, Greg Martin (Patricia) and Steve Martin (Traci); grandchildren, Brittany Morris (Jonathan), Victoria Banes (Jon), Lauren Kirk (Corey), and Reed Martin (Riliegh), and 7 great-grandchildren.

Jonathan Morris, Reed Martin, Jon Banes, Kenneth White Jr., Brad Flowers, and Corey Kirk will serve as pallbearers.

The Ruth Sunday School Class will serve as honorary pallbearers.
