Mary Lavonia Nixon Adair, 87 of Talladega, passed away Saturday August 9, 2025. Graveside services will be held at 11:00am Tuesday August 12,2025 at Midway Memory Gardens. Her family will receive friends at Usrey Funeral Home in Talladega from 9:30-10:30am Tuesday. Jeff Rutledge will officiate the service.

Mary was a member of Eastaboga Baptist Church. She retired from Fort McClellan. She enjoyed reading, Volunteering and taking walks. She was preceded in death by her husband’s Oliver C. Horn and William Adair, daughter Mary Irene Wood and her parents Willam David and Mary Lois Nixon, three brothers Melvin, Buck and James Nixon

She is survived by her two sons David C. Horn and his wife Toni, Steven W. Horn and his wife Tammy, seven grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, sister Patricia Parker and her husband Jerry and a host of nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers will be Mike Nixon, Nate Smith, Brian Hutton, Payton Hutton, Bland Tucker and Kylen Campbell Usrey Funeral Home in Talladega will direct the services.
