Shirley Parnell Sadler, 82, of Munford, AL passed away surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, July 10, 2025. A funeral ceremony will be held in her honor at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, July 12, 2025 at Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega with Cliff Goodwin officiating. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow directly after the ceremony at Hillcrest Cemetery.

Mrs. Sadler was a native and lifelong resident of Munford. She graduated from Munford High School in 1961 and was a faithful member of Ironaton Church of Christ. She was a devoted mother who took pride in raising her children and taking care of her home throughout her entire life. She especially loved the time she spent helping to care for her grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. They always kept her on her toes. Mrs. Sadler also enjoyed reading and doing puzzles in her spare time. She was a loving wife, mother, and “Granny” who will be missed greatly.

She was preceded in death by her son, Tracy Sadler, parents, Glenn and Pete Parnell, and mother-in-law and father-in-law, William and Sara Sadler.

Mrs. Sadler is survived by her husband of 60 years, John D. Sadler; daughters, Dawn Hogan, Jana Luker, and Heather Peterson (Chad); grandchildren, Trent Hogan (Ruth), Brooke Fuller-Craven (Perry), Haley Hogan (Mikel), Braden Luker, Mikayla Peterson-Colasurdo (Carmine), and Lea Allen (Taylor); great-grandchildren, Jacob Hogan, Evie Hogan, Pepper Craven, Zeppelin Allen, and Brie Major; sisters, Glennice Lackey and Kathy Moore; brother, Sammy Parnell, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Trent Hogan, Perry Craven, Taylor Allen, Mikel Couch, Wayne Lackey, and Jackie Wideman will serve as pallbearers.
