Opal Brindel Springfield, 91 of Talladega passed away July 2, 2025. Funeral Services will be held at Usrey Funeral Home Chapel in Talladega at 2:00pm, Monday, July 7, 2025 with burial in Hepzibah Baptist Church Cemetery. Randy Hagan will officiate the funeral service. Her family will receive friends on Monday at the funeral home from 1:00pm to 2:00pm.

Opal was a member of Hepzibah Baptist Church. She worked and retired from Talladega Federal Savings and Loan Association.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ford Bly Springfield Jr., parents Mable and James Brindel, sister Jewel (Lloyd) Padgett, brothers Jake (Irene) Brindel, D.A. Brindel, Olan (Ruth) Brindel, Buck (Doris) Brindel and several nieces and nephews.

She is survived by her children, Mark (Teresa) Springfield, Vic (Maureen) Springfield, Linda ( Ronny) Darden, Janet O’Regan, grandchildren Bly (Crystal) Springfield, Kristina Springfield, Leigh Ann Evans, Jonathan Darden, Ashley (Paul) Pennington, Megan (Daniel) Cochran, great – grandchildren Jayln Springfield, Lexi Smith, Kayleigh Smith, Embly Springfield, Easton Evans, Cooper Evans, Elliana Cochran, Kylie Burton, Nealie Williams, Maddox Williams, Steven Stifler, Jasmine Stifler, Amber Smith, Evan Darden, Olivia Darden, Ethan Swindle and four great-great grandchildren, niece Laurie (Jim) Brenner, niece Pat (Everett) Kilgore, great nephew Scott (Kim) Kilgore.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Bly Springfield, Steven Stifler, Maddox Williams, Easton Evans, Cooper Evans, Paul Pennington, and honorary pallbearer, Jonathan Darden.

Usrey Funeral Home in Talladega will direct services.
