Mrs. Lonnie Jean “Jean” Phillips, 84, of Pell City, Alabama, died peacefully in her home on Sunday, June 22, 2025.
Jean was a proud graduate of Pell City High School and was raised in the close-knit community of Cook Springs. A member of First Baptist Church of Pell City all of her adult life, she also served her community through her involvement with the Kiwanis Club. Above all, she was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who cherished her family deeply.
Jean was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Lee Phillips Jr.; parents, Lonnie Rich and Cora Goodwin Rich; and sister, Patricia Spradley.
She is survived by her son, William "Bill" Lee Phillips III (Stacia); grandchildren, Laura Phillips and Will Phillips; and sister, Jane Kilgroe.
The family will receive friends at Usrey Funeral Home - Pell City from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 25, 2025.
The funeral service will be held at Usrey Funeral Home - Pell City at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, with Dr. Tim Gold officiating. Interment will be at Cook Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Jean's caregivers, Carolene Swain, Lane Moss, and Lorene Bedford, and also to the staff of Compassus Hospice.
