Phillip Franklin Anderson Obituary

It is with a deep sense of loss that we announce the passing of Phillip Franklin Anderson who left our world peacefully on Saturday June, 14th in Pell City Alabama.

Phil was born October 23, 1940, to Franklin and Marie Anderson in Janesville, Wisconsin

He was the oldest of two siblings, sister, Carol Moseman (Jim Moseman) and brother, Rick Anderson (Cindy Anderson).

Phil is survived by his five children, Carla Durand (Scott Durand), Julie Mueret (Tim Mueret), Rex Anderson (Bobbi Jo Anderson), Kathy Anderson and Phyllis Lewis (Randy Lewis). He also has six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Phil spent most of his life in Beloit, Wisconsin where he worked various jobs in construction including time with his father’s business City Cartage.

Soon after, Phil attended technical school to learn both appliance and HVAC repair. He opened Anderson Appliance in 1975 as an appliance repair business. In 1990 he and his wife Judy expanded the business into a hardware store along with appliance sales and service.

Phil was an active member and actor with the Beloit Community Theater as well as a member of the Harley Davidson owners group in Rock Country, WI. He loved playing cards, especially SkipO, where he fancied himself as an expert, and was also an expert at stretching the boundaries of the rules!

In 2003 Phil and Judy moved to Pell City, Alabama and opened Anderson Appliance of Pell City. Phil and Judy ran that business until he sold it to his son Rex in 2009.

After the death of his wife Judy, in 2012, Phil remarried his current wife Ida Noser. During their time together they continued to enjoy riding their motorcycle, working in the yard, and traveling.

There will be a private family service for Phillip on Thursday June 27th in Pell City at the Usrey Funeral Home.
