Janice Gallahar Stone, 81, of Talladega, AL passed away on Wednesday, June 11, 2025. A funeral ceremony will be held in her honor at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at Talladega Church of Christ with Russ Vickers and Steve Oliver officiating. Her family will receive friends at the church for one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow directly after the ceremony at Pine Hill Memorial Park.

Mrs. Stone and her late husband, Jerry, were proud members of the Church of Christ for over 45 years attending Ironaton Church of Christ and then Talladega Church of Christ. Worshipping God was their favorite joy in life. Mrs. Stone had a deep fondness for children which could be seen through her work as the owner and operator of Stepping Stones Daycare and Play School. She often remarked, “I don’t know who has the most fun, the children or myself.”

She was preceded in death by her parents, John H. and Arvertie Gallahar; husband, Jerry A. Stone; sister, Mary G. Haney (Runt), and brothers, Colvin Gallahar (Edna), Hubert Gallahar (Dean), J.W. Gallahar (Helen), and Douglas Gallahar (Sue).

Mrs. Stone is survived by her sons, Brad Stone (Renee), Brian Stone (Helen), and Brandon Stone; grandchildren, Victoria Stone, Harrison Stone, Katie Stone, and Olivia Stone; sister, Elaine Griffith (Gary), and brother, Royce Gallahar (Barbara).

Her nephews will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mrs. Stone’s memory to Talladega Church of Christ, 416 East Street North, Talladega, AL 35160.
