Larry Lester Vincent, 78, of Alpine, AL passed away on Wednesday, June 11, 2025. A funeral ceremony will be held in his honor at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, June 13, 2025, at Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega with Tharel Shirah officiating. His family will receive friends at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow directly after the ceremony at Alpine Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Vincent was a native and lifelong resident of Talladega County. He bravely served in the United States Marine Corp. and was a Vietnam Veteran. He was a proud member and deacon at Alpine Baptist Church. Mr. Vincent loved farming and the farming community. He diligently served on the boards for Coosa Valley Electrical Cooperation, Central Talladega County Water Department, ALFA, and Talladega County Cattlemen’s Association.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester Durward “Red” Vincent and Nancy Jane Spraggins Vincent, grandson, Wesley Newsome, and great-granddaughter, Emma Kate Clifton.

Mr. Vincent is survived by his wife of 57 years, Dorothy “Dot” Vincent; daughters, Susan Newsome (Jeff) and LouAnne Howard; son, Allen Vincent (Tammy); grandchildren, Blaise Crabtree, Jackson Newsome, Christen Clifton (Josh), Parker Vincent (Cara), Thomas Vincent, Cole Vincent, Katherine Vincent, and Evan Lesley; great-grandchildren, Maci Clifton, Molli Drummond, Luke Vincent, and Brooks Vincent; sister, Nancy Howle, and nieces, Melissa Dyer and Kristen Tollison.

His grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

The deacons of Alpine Baptist Church, Wayne Armbrester, Bob Luker, Tom Strickland, John Vincent, Beaver Tinsley, and Kenny Swain will serve as honorary pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Alpine Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 77, Alpine, AL 35014.
