Fay Howard Haynes, a loving husband and devoted father, passed away at the age of 79 on May 22, 2025 in his home in Pell City, Al.
Fay was a 1965 graduate of Pell City High School. He was an avid fisherman who loved to share his wealth of fishing knowledge, especially with his grandchildren. He devoted many years of service and hard work during his time as an aircraft inspector for Pemco, he retired from Pemco after 30 years. You could say Fay was a man of many hobbies and interests. As he spent countless hours meticulously caring for his garden, which he took much pride in. He also spent many hours out on the water with a cast net and fishing rod in tow, but above all else, he was a father, and in that he held the most pride.
He is preceded in death by his parents Willie and Essie Haynes, siblings Bill Gray, Ivanette Branch, Edward Gray, J.P. Haynes, Lindsey “Bud” Haynes, Dorothy Mae Ensley (Gerald), Harvey Haynes and Joyce Haynes.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Judy Haynes, his daughter Angela May, brother Willie Ray Haynes, grandchildren Chandler May (Hayley), Hunter “Cody” May (Lauren), and Abby May. He is also survived by many great grandchildren whom he loved dearly.
Visitation will be held at Usrey Funeral Home- Pell City on Saturday, May 24, 2025 at 1:00pm cst with funeral services to be held immediately after at 2:00pm cst.
