Lula Belle Holloway McWilliams, 89, of Birmingham, Alabama, passed away peacefully on May 21, 2025. Born on October 25, 1935, in Lincolnton, Georgia, Lula Belle lived a life marked by devotion to her family, strong faith, and unwavering Auburn spirit—War Eagle!

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 62 years, Roland Samuel McWilliams, who passed away in March of 2024. Lula Belle and Roland met while working at DuPont and later built a life and legacy together as the founders of McWilliams Associates. Their partnership was not only one of love but also of shared purpose and commitment.

Lula Belle was a devoted and loving mother to her daughter, Jennifer McWilliams Joy (Aaron), and a proud grandmother to Sam Armstrong (Cassidy), ReBecca Armstrong, Emily Reed (Jack) and Haley Joy (Hunter). She cherished her role as great-grandmother to Abigail Grace Armstrong, who brought her immense joy in her later years.

She was one of nine siblings and was preceded in death by Allen, Prudie, Rachel, H.M., Ernestine, and Ellen. She is lovingly remembered by her surviving sisters, Patsy and Julia.

Known for her warmth and fierce love for her family, and her ever-present sense of humor, Lula Belle’s legacy lives on in the lives she touched.

A funeral viewing for close friends and family will be held from 1:00 -2:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at Usrey Brown Funeral Home in Talladega. Graveside services will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Pine Hill Memorial Park in Talladega.

Lula Belle’s life was a testament to strength, grace, and enduring love. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
