Obituary of Geraldine "Jerry" Woodard

Geraldine “Jerry” Woodard, 86, of Munford, AL passed away at her home on Sunday, April 13, 2025. A funeral ceremony will be held in her honor at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega with Robert Klotz officiating. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow directly after the service at Pine Hill Memorial Park. Mrs. Woodard was a native of Baxley, Georgia, but lived most of her life in Talladega County. She was the owner and operator of Woodard Broadcasting alongside her husband from 1962 until 2018. Mrs. Woodard was a member of First Baptist Church of Talladega and a former member of Pilot Club and Junior Welfare League of Talladega. She enjoyed golfing, gardening, and travelling. She was a very loving and devoted housewife, mother, and “Granny”. She was preceded in death by her parents, C. Woodrow and Lucille Stone; brother, Charles Stone, and honorary sister, Zell Copeland. Mrs. Woodard is survived by her husband of 66 years, Jimmy Earl Woodard Sr.; sons, Chuck Woodard (Melody) and Jim Woodard Jr (Shelley); grandchildren, Jimmy Woodard III, Timmy Woodard, and Zach Woodard; great-grandchild, Haidyn Woodard; sister, Velma Hinnant (J.L.), and a host of nieces and nephews. Jimmy Woodard III, Timmy Woodard, Thad Miller, Jackson Miller, Tony Parton, and Steve Giddens will serve as pallbearers.
