Obituary of Shirley Ann Chandler

Shirley Ann Chandler, 75, of Talladega, AL passed away at her home on Wednesday, April 09, 2025. Her family will receive friends at Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega on Friday, April 11, 2025 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. A funeral ceremony will be held in her honor at the funeral home on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. with Billy Epperson officiating. Interment will follow directly after the service at Hepzibah Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Chandler was a native and lifelong resident of Talladega. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church and enjoyed singing gospel music. She had a deep love for all animals, especially her pets. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Joe Chandler; parents, Huel Harvey Wilson and Mary Nell Brooks Wilson; son, Virgal Monroe Chandler; sisters, Saralou Sewell and Elaine Champion, and grandson, Tyler Chandler. Mrs. Chandler is survived by her daughter, Tammie Chandler McWhorter (Dewayne); sons, Randy Joe Chandler (Brandy), William Paul Chandler (Stephanie), and Donald Ray Chandler (Patty); sisters, Mary Browning, Charlotte Latham, and Caroline Miller; brother, Harvey Wilson; grandchildren, Austin Chandler, Brittany Crowfoot, Bradley Chandler, David Chandler, Leighann McBride, Dekota Chandler, Bria Chandler, and Morgan McDonald; great-grandchildren, Jameson Chandler, Alon Crowfoot, Jackson Chandler, Weston McBride, and Stella McDonald, and fur baby, Molly. Austin Chandler, David Chandler, Bradley Chandler, Morgan McDonald, Dewayne McWhorter, and Jimmy Duncan will serve as pallbearers. Rick Hester and Rickey Latham will serve as honorary pallbearers.
