
Obituary of Lynda Kay Sidlo

Lynda Kay (“Lu Lu”) Sidlo went to be with our Lord and Savior on April 3, 2025, at the age of 83.
Born on January 18, 1942 in Monahans, Texas, she lived a full life that incorporated her love for family, real estate and football. On July 29, 1961, at First Baptist Church, Royalty, Texas, she married George Melvin Sidlo and was a devoted wife for 61 years.
After graduating Grandfalls Royalty High School, she attended cosmetology school before eventually moving to Alabama where she became a very successful real estate agent. No matter where she went, customers would recognize and praise her for the excellent service she provided.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Melvin Sidlo; parents, Ezra Lynn Gandy and Verna M. Davis Gandy; and sisters, Patricia Ann Gandy and Jenny Lynn Shumake.
She is survived by her siblings, Bonnie Martin, Albert Gandy and Ann Gandy Parker; children, Lana Humphreys and Brad Sidlo; grandchildren, Griffin Wright and Sophia Willey; great-grandchildren, Grady Briggs Wright and Wells Willey; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A life celebration ceremony will be held at Alabama National Cemetery on April 15, 2025 at 1:15pm CST.
