
Obituary of Ronald "Ron" Dean Hyche

Mr. Ronald “Ron/Ronnie” Dean Hyche, 83, of Pell City, Alabama, passed away on Monday, March 3, 2025.
Ron was the life of the party among his friends and family. He loved nothing more than a good meal and a good drink. He retired from the United States Army during which time he earned multiple awards and commendations, including the Bronze Star Medal. Ron held many jobs after he retired from the Army, including ROTC Marksmanship Coach for Florence State University.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Glenda Sue Littleton Hyche; granddaughter, Christina Annabell Bundrum; brothers, Henry Arthur Hyche and Richard Hyche; and parents, Henry and Annabell Hyche.
He is survived by his children, Rhonda Bundrum (Kyle Carney), Richard Tillery (Linda), and Steven Hyche (DeAnna); grandchildren, Shelby Bundrum (Chance Hudson), Logan Bundrum, Tiffany Tillery, Makayla Hyche, and Liam Hyche; brother, Larry Hyche (Elaine); sisters, Sally Hyche and Sylvia Henslee (Larry); and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at Usrey Funeral Home – Pell City from 11:00 a.m. until Noon on Friday, March 7, 2025.
A graveside service, with military honors, will be held at St. Clair Memorial Gardens at 12:15 p.m. on Friday, March 7, 2025.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of the Birmingham VA Medical Center for the compassionate and skilled care Ron received during his final days.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to any veteran-related service organization.
