Sheila Yvonne Jones, 70, of Oxford, AL passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2025. Her family will receive friends at Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega on Sunday, March 02, 2025 from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. A funeral ceremony will be held in her honor at the funeral home on Monday, March 03, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. with Zach Van Gieson and Chris Spurlin officiating. Interment will follow directly after the service at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Ms. Jones was a native of Talladega, AL where she spent much of her life, but she has lived in Oxford for the last 30 years. She had a variety of different jobs throughout her life. She served as the secretary at Brookside Baptist Church and also worked for the Daily Home and Oxford Sun before ending her career at the Social Security Administration. Ms. Jones was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church and an active member of the Oxford Lion’s Club and Pilot Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmore A. and Mary Lou Jones and sister, Glenda Virleen Bagley.

Ms. Jones is survived by her brothers, Derrick Randall Jones, Phillip Doyle Jones, Kenneth Elmore Jones, and Ronald Darren Jones, sisters, Wanda Nadine Ellen and Buey Vanessia Bowman and a host of nieces and nephews.

Kevin Jones, Bobby Peters, Sam Walker, Kennedy Cole, Gary Edwards, and Phil Cruse will serve as pallbearers.
