Doris Clarice Poole Munroe passed peacefully at her home on February 27, 2025.

Mrs. Munroe was preceded in death by her husband, James Daniel Munroe; sons, Mark Daniel Munroe and James Matthew Munroe; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Poole; sisters, Betty Ann Poole Willett, Frances Poole and Julia Poole.

She is survived by her loving nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Munroe was a graduate of Talladega High School and attended the University of Alabama. She furthered her education in interior design, painting, and artistic interpretation of floral design. Her stunning floral arrangements were appreciated and enjoyed by many, including her church family where she used her talents for the Lord. With each elegant floral arrangement she created, she always thanked and praised the Lord for her many blessings and talents.

Her social involvement included the Holly Garden Club, Talladega Study Club, and Talladega Junior Welfare League. She enjoyed playing bridge with her friends and cheering Auburn to victory. She was very active and an involved member of the First Presbyterian Church, having taught Sunday School and Bible School, and she was a member of the Lydia Class.

Mrs. Munroe sincerely appreciated all of those who helped her stay home and live well in her final months.

A graveside service for Mrs. Munroe will be held at 11 A.M., Thursday, March 6, 2025 at Oak Hill Cemetery with Leeann Scarbrough officiating. Her family will receive friends immediately after the graveside service.
