Patricia Ann Hammonds, 79, of Jasper, Alabama passed away peacefully on February 15, 2025. She was born on September 17, 1945 in Bremen, Alabama, and was a proud graduate of Cold Springs High School, Class of 1963.
Patricia “Pat” “Patsy” was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Michael Ray Hammonds, and her parents, Mode Cephus Williams and Lillian Garner Williams. She is also preceded by her brothers Earl Williams, Charles Leamon Williams, James Willard Williams, Wilburn Williams and sister Marie Reynolds.
She leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory: daughters, Denise Aaron Bay (Michael Alex), Tracy Williams (Warren), and son, Brian Hammonds (Shay). She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Randi Thomas, Savana Windham, Michael Matthew Bay, Anna Bay, Christina Brown, Nolan Hammonds, Lawrence Hammonds, and Lana Kate Hammonds, as well as a great-grandmother to Brysen Lee. She is also survived by her dear sisters, Cecelia Williams Smith and Janice Turner Thomas.
Pat’s love for her family was unwavering, and she brought warmth and kindness to everyone she met. Her legacy of love, strength, and generosity will live on through the many lives she touched.
A service to honor Patricia’s life will be Monday, February 17th 2025, 2pm at Usrey Funeral Home in Talladega. Burial will follow at Pine Hill Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to her church at Concord Methodist Church at 85 Concord Church Road in Talladega, Alabama.
She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will remain in our hearts forever.
