Mr. Cary Lewis Forister, 73, of Cropwell, AL, passed away on February 4, 2025.
He was a current resident of Long Beach, MS. Mr. Forister was born November 14, 1951 in Memphis, TN. He was a native of Dyess, AR and graduated from Osceola High School in 1970. Following graduation, he joined the Army and served in Europe from 1970-1973. His awards include the National Defense Service Medal & Sharpshooter Badge. He then worked as a Boilermaker from 1978-2006 and was a member of Boilermakers Union Local 108. Prior to retirement, he also worked as a superintendent for M&D Power Constructors, Tuscaloosa AL.
Mr Forister was a devoted husband and loving father. He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, gardening, and golf. He also loved Alabama football.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Horace & Jolean Forister, and his wife, Anne Marie Forister.
Surviving Mr Forister are his daughter, Christen Corn (Ricky) of Long Beach MS; one sister, Sharon Roberson of Fayetteville AR; two brothers, Larry Forister (Yvonne) of Belle Plaine KS and Gary Forister (Denise) of Ash Flat AR; nieces and nephews include Michelle Crippen (Kevin), Tanya Eldridge (Daniel), Johnny Parsons, Beth Raymond (David), Shannon Smith (Dale), & Chaston Forister (Mekaelyn), Cory Rodgers (Lindie) and Ashley Rowe (Levi).
The family would like to thank Senior Oaks Care Home, Notre Dame Hospice and Gentiva Hospice- Mississippi Gulf Coast Division.

A private graveside service will be held at St. Clair Memorial Gardens.
