Donald Ray Wates,78 of Talladega, passed away January 30, 2025. A celebration of life service will be held on Tuesday, February 4, 2025 from 2:00pm-4:00pm at Abundant Grace Church in Sterrett, AL.

Mr. Wates was a native of Marion County and lived in Talladega for the past 22 years. He formerly worked at Alabama Business Enterprise for the Blind.

He is survived by his wife, Camilla Estell Pearson Wates, daughter, Donna Freeland, and grandson, Nathan Shawn Freeland.

Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega will direct the service.
