Cynthia Lea Jobes, 66, of Talladega, AL passed away on Tuesday, January 28, 2025. A memorial service will be held in her honor at 4:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 01, 2025 at Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega with Kevin Jones officiating. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service.
Mrs. Jobes was a native of Wilmington, Delaware, but lived in Talladega, AL for many years. She attended Concord High School. She was a very hard and dedicated worker who was well known around town for the time she spent as the store manager of a variety of store, especially the local Mapco. She was currently the store manager at Dollar General on Ashland Highway. Mrs. Jobes enjoyed playing bingo at the American Legion in Steele, AL and taking care of her cats, Lola and Skittles, who she loved dearly. She was a selfless woman who was always willing to help others—even taking people in to her own home when necessary. Mrs. Jobes was a loving mother and “Mom Mom” whose family was her entire world.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Janet and Bobby Hager.
Mrs. Jobes is survived by her daughter, Sabrina Jobes; sons, Wilfredo Lugo and Dale Connelly; grandchildren, Jarek Lugo, Siara Lugo, Dagon Connelly, and Piper Connelly, and a host of nieces and nephews.
