Joseph Horn Dial, 91, of Talladega, AL passed away on Tuesday, January 28, 2025. A funeral ceremony will be held in his honor at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, February 02, 2025 at Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega with Greg Tankersley officiating. His family will receive friends at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow directly after the service at Pine Hill Memorial Park.
Mr. Dial was a native and lifelong resident of Talladega, and he retired from Anniston Army Depot after 30 years of service. He was a proud charter member of the Tina’s Home Cooking breakfast club, but he was even more proud of his grandson and great-grandchildren who were the light of his life. Mr. Dial was a very selfless man who put everyone before himself. He was always there to lend a helping hand to his family and friends. He was a devoted and loving father and “Paw-Paw” who will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Dial; parents, Bill and Lottie Dial; brothers, Johnny Dial, Wayne Dial, Jimmy Dial, and Roy Dial, and sister, Nettie Dial.
Mr. Dial is survived by his daughter, Debbie Culver; grandson, Joey Culver; great-grandchildren, Aly Culver and Lennon Culver, and several nieces and nephews.
David Trott, Ron Garrett, Jimmie Smith, Matt Ardis, Jonathan Hurst, and James Dial will serve as pallbearers.
Larry Patterson and James Goss will serve as honorary pallbearers.
