Bobbie Jean Fisher, 87, of Talladega, AL passed away at her home on Monday, January 27, 2025. Her family will receive friends at Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega on Thursday, January 30, 2025 from 12:30 P.M. until 1:30 P.M. A graveside ceremony will be held in her honor at Pine Hill Memorial Park on Thursday, January 30, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. with James Coffman officiating.

Mrs. Fisher was a native of Talladega County and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1956. She spent much of her life in Columbia, South Carolina where she retired from South Carolina Gas and Electric after over 20 years of service. Mrs. Fisher was Baptist by faith and most recently attended Dry Valley Baptist Church. Although she tended to be a private person, she really enjoyed spending time with her family and shopping. She was notorious for spoiling all of her nieces and nephews who she loved dearly as her own children.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edker Lee Fisher, and parents, Woodrow and Bonnie Parton Blankenship.

Mrs. Fisher is survived by her sisters, Dorothy Lane and Gaynell James, brothers, Charles Blankenship (Margaret), Gerald Blankenship (Linda), Donald Blankenship (Carolyn), David Blankenship (Kay), and Terry Blankenship, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Daniel Blankenship, Gary Blankenship, Joel Blankenship, Russ Parton, Eddie Hardee, and Mike Fisher will serve as pallbearers.
