Lloyd Venyard Williams Sr., 89, of Talladega, AL passed away at his home on Sunday, March 24, 2024. A graveside service will be held in his honor at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, March 28, 2024 at Pine Hill Memorial Park with John Monteith officiating. His family will receive friends at Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega from 12:30 P.M. until 1:30 P.M. prior to the service.

Mr. Williams was born January 04, 1935 in Sarasota, FL to J.A. and Iona Williams. He shared his life with his beloved wife, Martha, for 68 years. Together they raised their children and instilled values of kindness and hardwork in them. Mr. Williams worked at the Bemis Company for 25 years. He also worked at Kockums CanCar and USNR Lumber for a combination of 25 years. An honored brother of the Masonic Lodge No. 261, he embraced the principles of Freemasonry and lived a life of fellowship and integrity.

He was preceded in death by his parents, J.A. and Iona Williams; sister, Margaret McKay; brother, Bobby Williams; and son-in-law, Larry Sewell.

Mr. Williams is survived by his wife, Martha Williams; children, Teresa Sewell; Bilie Hicks, and Lloyd Williams Jr. (Rhonda); sisters, Tonye Briscoe and Betty Willingham (Sam); grandchildren, Justin Williams (Sandy), Alexander Williams, Dillon Sewell, Hunter Sewell, Larry Sewell (April), Hank Novitski (Victoria), and Jerrica Moss (Michael), ten great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Justin Williams, Alex Williams, Dillon Sewell, Larry Sewell, Hank Novitski, and Michael Moss will serve as pallbearers.
