Austin “Jerry” Ansley, 87, of Talladega, AL passed away at his home on Sunday, February 25, 2024. A graveside ceremony will be held in his honor at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, March 01, 2024 at Eastaboga Baptist Cemetery with Terry Chappell officiating.

Mr. Ansley was a native and lifelong resident of Talladega. He retired from Wehadkee Textile Mills after 44 years of service. He loved deep sea fishing and NASCAR racing, and he was a huge University of Alabama football fan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Austin and Bertha Ansley.

Mr. Ansley is survived by his sister, Peggy Gilliand; nephews, Barry Gilliand and Chris Gilliand (Amy); niece, Jenny Gilliand (Dr. Murray Arons), and aunt, Dramer Jarrell.

In lieu of flowers, Mr. Ansley’s family asks that donations be made in his memory to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org.
