Jimmy Ray Strickland, 73, of Moody, Alabama passed away on Saturday, September 23, 2023.

Mr. Strickland worked for thirty-seven years in Anniston as a metering superintendent for Alabama Power. During his leisure time, he loved to travel, golf, hunt, and spend time outdoors, and he was a huge University of Alabama fan. Most importantly, he was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Winnie Strickland; daughter, Shannon Strickland; and brother, Alfred Strickland.

He is survived his his wife, Anita Strickland; children, Morganne Adams (Nicholas), Becky Oldham (Morgan), and Shelby Fomby (Brayden); and grandchildren, Sophie Adams, Brantley Fomby, Brynli Fomby, and Paisleigh Fomby.

The family will receive friends at Usrey Funeral Home - Pell City from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 26, 2023.

The funeral service will be officiated by Bro. DJ Wyatt at Usrey Funeral Home - Pell City at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, followed by interment at St. Clair Memorial Gardens.

Morgan Oldham, Brayden Fomby, Nicholas Adams, Rylan Fomby, Scott Wyatt, and Colton Robertson will serve as pallbearers.
