Obituary of William C. Wingo

William Wingo, 83, passed away March 17, 2018. His funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Oxford, Al. with Dr. Jerry Cobb and Dr. Jackie Bentley officiating. Visitation will be 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 20, 2018.

He is survived by his wife, Patty Wingo; daughters, Deb Upchurch (Steve), Gina Freeman (Doug); sister, Emogene Pettis; brother, Robert Wingo; grandchildren, Bekah Morrison (Stuart), Will Freeman (Haley); three great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Mr. Wingo was a United States military veteran and retired from National Gypsum Company after 40 years of service. He also served in his church as a deacon and Sunday School teacher for many years. Pallbearers will be Will Freeman, Stuart Morrison, Brian Anderson, Danny Tyree, Tony Spurlin and Al Rosser. Honoary Pallbearers Cotton Freeman, Jerry Corby and Senior Mens Sunday School Class of Bethlehem Baptist Church.
