Obituary of Teresa Gretchen Christian

Teresa Gretchen Christian, 71, of Munford passed away January 16, 2018 at Citizens BMC. Funeral services will be 1:30 pm, Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Hall Grove Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Reginald Cook officiating. Burial will follow at the adjoining cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Friday evening at Usrey Funeral Home in Talladega.

Mrs. Christian was a graduate of Talladega High School. She worked for 15 years at Crown Textile Mills. She believed strongly in Christ and loved her grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughters, Arienne Christian, Heather Gooden (Daniel); son, Adam Christian (Denita Smelley); grandchildren, Tracy Fain, Joshua Christian, Jaden McKenzie, Daniel Gooden, Jr., Kayloni Heard, Olivia Gooden, Nathan Gooden, Cortney Jefferson; great-grandchild, Trenton Fain; sister, Ruth Garrett (Ronnie), Fannie Burnhart (Nebraska); brother, Johnny Carter, Herbert Steel; honorary son, Dante Gooden; honorary daughter, Pamela Beavers, special nephew, James Welch,III; a host of nieces and nephews; special friends and family, Sabrina Mcpherson, Towanda Jackson, Byron Wilson and Rose Jackson.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Maude Carter; sister, Alice Glenn Carter, June Dawi, Mary Ann Orr; brother, Watson Carter and ex-husband, Joseph Christian.

Pallbearers will be Adam Christian, Joshua Christian, Tracy Fain, Daniel Gooden, Jr., Dante Gooden, Sergio Esparza, Willy Roland, Jr., Reginald Turner, and Dewayne Turner.
