Obituary of Thomas Joseph Kairis

Tom Kairis of Cicero, NY passed from this life peacefully and unexpectedly on Friday, January 12 in Alabama.  His family and friends will miss him beyond words.  Tom was a talented and gifted pianist and entertainer.  He loved to cook and had a great sense of humor. 

For most of his life, Tom owned a piano restoration and service company and was a factory-authorized technician for Steinway and PianoDisc.  He had great technical skills and could repair or improve almost anything mechanical.  In the last few years, he enjoyed travelling across this great nation in his truck. 

Tom was predeceased by his parents Julius and Ann Kairis.  He is survived by his brothers Julius “Bud” (Fay) Kairis, Michael (Shaun) Kairis and Gregory (Jessica) Kairis, several cousins, nieces and nephews.

There will be no calling hours.  A memorial mass in celebration of Tom’s life will be scheduled in the spring followed by burial at Pine Plains Cemetery in Clay, NY.
