 Idell Mitchell Evans, 78, of Talladega passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Coosa Valley Medical Center in Sylacauga.


   Mrs. Evans worked in the Spooling Department for Bemis Bag Company until its closing. She then worked for Avondale Mills in Pell City. She retired from AIDB Helen Keller School Campus.


   She was preceded in death by her parents - Hadron & Willie Mae Irvin Mitchell, 3 brothers - James Mitchell, Marvin Mitchell & Wesley Mitchell and 1 sister - Ida Mae Shirey.


   Survivors include her husband of 57 years - Langon (Buddy) Evans, 2 daughters - Sherry (Brad) Bridges of Bryant, AL & Sandra Evans of Talladega, 1 son - Donald Evans of Talladega, 4 sisters - Pauline (Robert) Green of Oxford, Verna Lee (David) Turner, Rosemary (Michael) Shulch & Arleen Mitchell of Talladega, 1 brother - George (Elaine) Mitchell of Talladega, 6 grandchildren - Jim Adamson III, Deidre (Keith) Rainwater, Brad (Brittany) Bridges, Jr., Marshall Bridges, Lindy Bridges & Brandon Evans & 4 great-grandchildren - Jacob Adamson, Tiffany Adamson, Emmalyn Johns & Wyatt Bridges and a host of nieces & nephews.
Nephews will be pallbearers and honorary pallbearers.


   Visitation will be Tuesday from 6 - 8 p.m. at Usrey Chapel. Service will be Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. with interment at Pine Hill Memorial Gardens. Usrey Funeral Home Talladega directing. Online condolences can be made to www.usreyfuneralhome.com
