Obituary of Don Ratliff Poole

Mr. Don Ratliff Poole, 69, of Pell City, Alabama passed away on December 16, 2017 in Pell City.

He was a graduate of Hartselle High School and The University of Alabama at Birmingham.  Mr. Poole was retired from the Jefferson County Board of Education.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Rufus Mitchell Poole and Iva Lee Legg Poole.

Mr. Poole is survived by his wife, Susan Poole; daughter, Adriana Lee Willingham of Crofton, MD; stepson, Jason Patrick Appling of Birmingham, AL; grandchildren, Henry and Simon Willingham of Crofton, MD;  step-grandchild, Kalab Patrick Appling of Birmingham, AL; and by his sister, Hilda Carpenter of Decatur, AL

A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 pm on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at Usrey Funeral Home, Pell City with Pastor Richard Taylor officiating.  The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 pm at the funeral home.
