Obituary of Mary Frances Parker

Mary Frances Parker, 86, passed away December 3, 2017.  She was born July 20, 1931 in Talladega Springs.  

She was preceded in death by her parents Mayfield Britton, Cleo Kearley Britton and twin brothers Jerry and Terry Britton. 

Mrs. Parker is survived by her husband, Hugh Parker, her son Britt Parker (Jody); three grandchildren, Sara Parker Howell (Ryan), Rachel Parker Schmidtke (Kyle), Paxton Britton Parker and two great granddaughters.

Mrs. Parker grew up on the family dairy farm Sycamore, later moved to Talladega and graduated from Talladega High School.  She enjoyed a fulfilling career of over thirty years as a legal secretary at the law firm of Wooten, Thornton, O'Brien, Carpenter, Lazenby, and Lawrence.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Childhaven Children's Home, 1816 Childhaven Road NE, Cullman, AL. 35055 or to St. Jude Hospital at www.stjude.org.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 6 at 2:00 p.m. with Ron Hurst officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 12:30 p.m. in the Usrey Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Pine Hill Memorial Park.
