Jimmy Lewis Matson, 84, of Anniston passed away Tuesday November 21, 2017 at RMC. Graveside service will be 12:00 pm Saturday November 25, 2017 at Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Usrey Funeral Home in Talladega from 10:30 am until 11:30 am prior to graveside services. Reverend Mike Holcomb will officiate.

 

He was a native of Talladega, lived most of his life in Anniston and retired from Monsanto Chemical Company.

 

He is preceded in death by his wife, Nellie Marie Matson; sons, Robert Allen Matson and David Wayne Matson.

 

Mr. Matson is survived by daughter, Jeanie Payne (Craig); son, Timothy Lewis Matson (Janie); Layne Byrd, Lynda Matson, Ryan Matson (Valerie); grandchildren, Shaun Matson (Summer), Laura Phillips (Steven), Kimberleigh Wallace (Ray), Joe Wright (Earline), Marvin Sweatt; great-granchildren, Payton Kendall, Bailey Kendall, Ryley Kendall, Wyatt Kendall, Kayleigh Matson, Carson Matson, Kylie Matson, Christian Matson, Caitlyn Brackett, Connor Brackett, Declan Wallace, Cole Jennings, Cinnaminson Wright, Serenity Wright and great-great grandchild, Charleigh Jennings.

 

Pallbearers will be Shaun Matson, Steven Phillips, Craig Payne, Joe Wright, Layne Byrd, Connor Brackett, Payton Kendall and Ray Wallace.
