Obituary of George Franklin Donahoo

~ Mr. George Franklin  Donahoo,78, of Ragland, Alabama passed away on October 1, 2017 in Ragland.

Mr. Donahoo was a former Adj. General with the American Legion.  He was a Vietnam Veteran who was retired from the U.S. Navy with over 20 years of service, and was retired from the Merchant Marines with 14 years of service.  He was preceded in death by his brother John Ray Donahoo, sister Doris Nell Taylor, parents Jeff and Vernice Donahoo, and his stepfather Grady Spearman.

He is survived by his wife, Melba Jean Duck Donahoo; daughter, Linda Dianne Humphries (Dale); son, George F. Donahoo, Jr.; grandchildren, Brittanie & Matthew Humphries, Chris Donahoo, & Josh Crawford; great-grandchildren, Baily, Mason & Levi Humphries; numerous nieces & nephews.

The funeral service will be at11:00 am on Thursday October 5, 2017 at Usrey Funeral Home, Pell City, with the Rev. Ted St.John, the Rev. Donnie Thompson officiating.  Interment will follow at St. Clair Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends Wednesday, OCtober 4, 2017 from 4:30 - 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
