Obituary of Raymond Anthony Hendrick

Raymond Anthony Hendrick, 85, of Talladega passed away September 13, 2017 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm, Friday, September 15, 2017 at Usrey Funeral Home in Talladega. Johnny Jones and grandson, Andy Hartsfield will officiate with burial following at Midway Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to services.

Mr. Hendrick was a native of Alpine, AL and lived most of his life in Talladega. He retired from Floyd and Beasley Trucking Company and was a longtime, faithful member of Claire Purcell United Methodist Church.

Raymond is preceded in death by his parents, Archie H. and Grace H. Hendrick.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Joyce Charlotte Carter Hendrick; daughters, Amanda Hartsfield (Jerry), Melissa Cook (Stanley), Gloria Thomas (Frank), Angel Luker (Mark); brother, Robert “Bob” Hendrick (Grace), 12 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchlidren.

Honorary pallbearers will be Wallace Phillips, Tap Styres, and Nolan Hethcox.
