Obituary of Dessie Sue Wyatt

Dessie Sue Wyatt passed on to be with the LORD on 19 day of August, 2017 at Summerford Nursing Home, Falkville, AL at the age of 96. She was born in Talladega County to Mack and Acklus Guantt on 27 May, 1921 and was a lifelong resident there until 2001 when she moved to Decatur, Al. Her caring and love will be sorely missed by her family who loved her very much.                                                                                                          

The Wyatt family would like to extent their gratitude to the staff of Summerford Nursing Home for their attentiveness and loving care. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Sanford (Bid) Wyatt whom she was married to for 35 years and widowed for 43 years.

She is survived by two sons Lance Baxter Wyatt (Alice Beam Wyatt) of Isle of Palms, SC and Mack Wayne Wyatt (Betty Hutton Wyatt) of Decatur AL; Two grandsons Todd McCloud Wyatt of Decatur, AL and Robert Lance Wyatt of Chicago, IL; One Granddaughter Michelle Wyatt Putnam and one great granddaughter Sara Lee Madison Putnam both of Decatur, Al.

Mrs. Wyatt’s ceremony for family and friends will be on Thursday, August 24, 2017 to be conducted at the Talladega Usrey Funeral Home, Talladega, AL by the Rev Leeanne Scarbrough of the First Presbyterian Church of Talladega.

The visitation will began at 1:00 o’clock at Talladega Usrey Funeral Home  followed by her 2:30 Funeral Services at the Usrey Funeral Home with private burial in Pine Hill Memorial Park. Please in lieu of flowers make a donation to your favorite charity or church.
