Obituary of Eugene Howard Hall

Eugene Howard Hall, 78 of Talladega, passed away July 11, 2017 at his home. Funeral services will be 10:00 am, Friday, July 14, 2017 at Usrey Funeral Home in Talladega with Rev. Kevin Jones officiating. Burial will follow at 2:00 pm (Eastern Time) at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Douglasville, GA. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

Mr. Hall served in the Air Force as a jet engine mechanic then as an auto mechanic in Gruver, TX until 1970. He started his career in the fire apparatus field with American La France, then went into private business in Douglasville, GA doing refurb. work on fire trucks. He became part owner of Quality MFG. in Talladega, AL where they manufacture fire apparatuses. He served as V.P. of sales and then president of the company until his retirement. He was a lifetime member and former Commander of American Legion Post #17.

He is preceded in death by his parents James Reuben “J.R.” and Sally Elizabeth Twiggs Hall, his first wife Shirley Ann Mayhew Hall, sister Dorothy Elizabeth Moore, and brother Lloyd Cooper Hall.

He is survived by his wife Beth Hall, son Wesley Howard Hall (Jeana), daughters Regina Ann LeDoux, Connie Beth Hall, brother Samuel McGowan Hall, sister Wilma Faye Hall Curry, grandchildren Natalie Ann Hall, Kristopher Davis, Aaron Joseph “A.J.” Miller, step-children Holly Posey (Adrian), Jana Kipping (Chris), and 5 step-grandchildren.
