Obituary of Alleta Brantley Gamache Westbrook

Alleta Brantley Gamache Westbrook, 64, of Talladega passed away May 3, 2017 at Brookwood Medical Center. A memorial service will be held at 6:30 pm, Friday, May 5, 2017 at Usrey Funeral Home in Talladega. Her family will receive friends for one hour prior to services. Rev. Bill Snow will officiate.

Ms. Westbrook was a native of Monroeville, AL and a resident of Talladega for the past 42 years. She was a member of Edgewood Congregational Methodist Church in Anniston. She was retired from Coosa Valley Electric Co-Op. Alleta loved her family and animals, told the best stories and gave the best advice. She was very strong and handled life’s challenges with grace.

She is survived by her husband Tommy Alverson, daughter Heather Roberts (Randy), grandchildren Harleigh Westbrook Roberts Hayley Hill Roberts, Cole Franklin Roberts, brothers Willard M Kennedy (Deedie), Joseph Howard Brantley, Jr. (Michele), sister Lynn Brantley Elrod, nieces Beth Kennedy Cox, Kristen Elizabeth Elrod, Andrea Kennedy Leon, Carey Michelle Smith, nephews Joseph Howard Brantley, III, Jonathan Gilbert Brantley and a host of great nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Agape Animal Rescue, P.O. Box 29229, Nashville, TN 37229 or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
