Obituary of Clyde H. Yates

Graveside services for Rev. Clyde H. Yates will be Thursday April 27 2017 at 1:00 pm at Pine Hill Memorial Park with Rev. Don Barnett officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday April 26 2017 at Usrey Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00 pm.Mr. Yates is survived by 2 daughters Laura C. Biggers and Elizabeth A. Talton-Talladega.1 son James C. Yates -Talladega.4 sisters Van Taylor(Charlie) Joyce Taylor( Jerry) Jean Francis(Brandon) and Elise Tarwater(Lloyd).2 brothers Frank Yates( Thelma) and Tivis Yates( Barbara).3 grandchildren James D. Biggers Rosalyn Brown(Scotty) and Laura Denton(Brad).4 great grandchildren Cheralyn Bath(Joe) Alex Denton Carmen Brown And Zack Brown.Mr. Yates is preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth O. Yates, his parents Quay E. Yates and Laura M.Yates. 3 brothers Royal Yates John Yates and Cardell Yates. 2 sisters Edith Honaker and Stella Breeding.Mr. Yates was a united Methodist minister to many area churches Ashville Odenville Springville and Stemley.he was a former boy scout troop 130 chaplin and was retired from the Dept. of Human Resources after 22 years of service.He was a faithful member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Talladega where he was a member of the  fellowship sunday school class.Pallbearers will be James C. Yates,Brad Denton, Alex Denton,James D. Biggers, Scotty Brown and Jim Spratlin. Honorary pallbearers will be Zack Brown, James Biggers and men of Trinity United Methodist Church.In lieu of flowers ,donations may be made to the American Heart Association, National Cancer Association or St. Judes Childrens Hospital.
