Obituary of Bonnie Faye Patton

Bonnie Faye Sexton Patton of Murfreesboro, TN, formerly of Eastaboga, passed away on July 19 at her home. Funeral service will be held at Eastaboga Baptist Church on Saturday, July 23, at 2:00 pm with Rev. Ken Daniel, Rev. Chris Anderson, and Rev. John McClendon officiating. Visitation will be at the church the hour prior to service. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega will direct. Faye was born in Hueytown, AL to Grady Sexton and Mertha Smith Sexton on May 27, 1927. She graduated from Hueytown High School in 1945. She and her late husband, Bob Patton, lived most of their adult lives in Eastaboga. She was an active member of Eastaboga Baptist Church, worked as church secretary for many years, taught Sunday School, sang in the choir, and was active in the women’s mission organization. She is survived by her daughters, Anita Patton Anderson, Becky Patton McClendon, and Susan Patton Daniel, 7 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, William (Bob) Patton, her parents, her sisters, Emilou Dabbs, Dot Rogers, and Jackie Whisenant, and her brother, Norman Sexton.
