Doris Fincher Hughston, 73, of Talladega passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at Shelby Baptist Hospital. The family will receive friends Friday, May 20, 2016 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at Usrey Funeral Home in Talladega. A memorial service will follow at 4:00 pm at the funeral home.
Mrs. Hughston was a native and lifelong resident of Talladega. She was a 1961 graduate of Winterboro High School and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. She was retired from Talladega County Circuit Clerk’s Office and was active in the women’s bowling league.
She is survived by her husband Dorman Hughston, son Mike (Cyndi) Hughston, daughter, Marsha (Dan) Headley, sisters Sandy Ponder, Cecilia Patterson, brother Robert Fincher, grandchildren Savanna Marion, Harrison Hughston, Ivy Kate Hughston, Hughston Headley, Graham Headley and a host of nieces and nephews.
Former and current staff of Talladega County Circuit Clerk’s Office will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Heart and Lung Association.
